#FM22Challenge

After the initial launch of FM22, we were tasked with re-engaging the audience over the Christmas period.

Every year before the launch of the latest instalment of the Football Manager franchise, the game’s community asks for help in picking a team to play with.

But it’s not just about randomly generating a team. It’s about picking the right managerial challenge.

Introducing… #FM22Challenge. A team generator based on the challenge you want to take on.

The generator was built in a Twitter thread. Simply by ‘liking’ the Tweet with the challenge they wanted to take on, people would automatically receive a team suggestion to play with.

The FM community relished the opportunity to take on a new challenge. Many going on to buy the game and play as their suggested team.

More than 55,000 teams were generated.

(There are only 3,900 professional teams in the world)

We achieved a x8 lower cost per engagement than industry average and increased mentions by +13% vs the 2021 launch.
